The day, once again began with our daily ritual of “Hello Smith” and then we proceeded to pull out of planners to write down today’s homework. We need to read Fahrenheit 451 pages 41-68 by next Tuesday and also continue to read our banned books. Don’t forget to start making corrections to your Macbeth essays which are due at the end of the month.
Next, Smith generously allowed us five minutes to warm up our voices in preparation for the showdown. Vivian, Anna, Mitch, Karyn, and Megan kindly agreed to start us out with a lovely rendition of The Devil Goes Down to Georgia which they renamed The Devil vs. Wonder Woman. And the performances after were no joke. One group composed an original piece played on the guitar by Mr. Sean Horblit. And all of the rest of the groups did not disappoint. All six of the performances were worthy of CMA’s! But there can only be one winner so don’t forget to cast your vote!
